As a company we are fully insured with £5,000,000 public liability insurance, £10,000,000 employers liability insurance, £5,000,000 products liability insurance and £250,000 contractors all risk.

Services and Qualifications

WoodTecq Ltd specialise in all forms of Carpentry, Single and double extensions, High spec Refurbishments, Loft extensions, structural works, Insurance works and all other Building works. All of the workmen that we use are fully quallified tradesmen who are very accomplished in there line of work which allows us to finish every aspect of our work to a high specification.

All of our sub-contractors have been vetted by ourselves and are fully qualified and certified. The electricians are NICEIC approved and plumbers are GAS SAFE certified. Several of our staff are registered First Aiders. Our site managers have attended and passed the 5 day a CIBT Site Management Safety Training Scheme For The Construction Industry (SMSTS).

All of our staff have attended asbestos awareness courses.

How we operate differently from most other domestic building companies.

Upon instruction from the client to undertake the works we ask for a 10% deposit to secure you a start date and protects us from any late cancellations, you have 14 days from paying your deposit to cancel and get your deposit back as set out by UK law. Most domestic building companies generally want somewhere between 20% to 40% deposit before they start any works and large stage payments throughout the project. Where we differ from other companies is apart from the 10% deposit we do not ask for any other money up front, We then do a monthly valuation on works completed and materials bought and on site, which means you are not paying for anything that has not already been completed or materials that have not already been purchased, the 10% deposit is deductible from the final payment. you do not pay us the final payment until you are happy with the works completed. We also provide a fully itemised firm quote so there are no queries about what is included within the scope of works. The only additional costs involved would be if you instructed us to carry out additional works.
